Include Your Dog in Your Social Life
When talking to dog owners I often hear them lamenting how restrictive having a dog is. You can’t go on holiday, nip to the pub or take off on a day trip out without worrying about leaving the dog behind.
Well! There is a simple solution! Take your dog with you! I have recently been doing a bit of research myself on dog friendly places to visit. I was in fact looking for nearby beaches that were happy for dog walkers to visit them and I found a wide selection. I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst surfing the net I came across various sites offering information on day trips out to stately homes and beaches across the UK where dog are welcomed and catered for. There’s no need to trudge down the same walking route day in and day out. By getting a bit more adventurous you can enjoy a pleasant day out in new surroundings which both you and your canine companion will enjoy.
I also found many cottages in some very picturesque locations that welcome pets of all kinds. By doing some careful planning you can find a lovely cottage near to some great walks and beaches and instead of packing the dogs off to the kennels take them with you! There are even dog friendly pubs! So there’s no excuse now – you motto should be ‘have dog, will travel’!
