Unusual Pets
After buying an emu egg as a novelty food item a woman living in Sussex surprisingly hatched an emu chick from it!
The chick, which Gillian Stone based in Bexhill, called Osborne, is being raised as a family pet. When visiting the Isle of Wight Gillian found a farm that sold emu eggs. She bought three of the large green eggs and stowed them in an incumbator which she kept in the kitchen.

Unusual Pets
Now here’s an unusual pet for you – a twenty-two stone sheep who lives with a family in Cardiff. His favourite pastime is chilling out in the lounge watching TV and nibbling on biscuits.
David Palmer, formerly a coach driver, rescued the sheep a few years ago when Nick Boing, as he known, was only a wee nipper.

A recent report by the RSPCA has highlighted that it estimates that approximately 1000 puppies are being imported into Wales every week. Many have already been exposed to infectious diseases and are likely to become ill within a couple of weeks of being homed.

A holiday lettings website based in the UK called holidaylettings.co.uk has just released the findings of a customer survey carried out this year. The results of the survey revealed that a mere 6% of British pet owners who regularly travel to their holiday destination abroad have bought an EU Pet Passport for there furry friend.

In an ideal world when you pick up your new puppy he’ll be paper trained, however no matter how well trained he was by the breeder he’s likely to have a relapse when you get him home. All the new sights and sounds of your home will frighten and confuse him. He’ll have been separated from his mum and the rest of the litter for the first time and he’ll be coping with meeting lots of new people and, possibly, your other pets. It can be all too much for the little one and before you know it there a puddle on the floor!
